LA's Black Math Horseman are a more doom laced version of post metal slowed down with less highs and lows. Very cool stuff. There debut album Wyllt was released last year and produced by Scott Reeder of Kyuss fame.
The second new video on consecutive days the other being El Guincho's "Bombay" that won't be playing on Mtv anytime soon for obvious reasons.

A much more raw version of Scout Niblett almost sounding like PJ Harvey on "Rid of me" at times.
Both records were produced by Steve Albini.

Is it just me or is today an abnormally strong day for album releases. The Black Angels here with there Beatles inspired ditty Telephone from the album "Phosphene Dream" also Black Mountain "Wilderness Heart", Black Milk "Album Of The Year" and last but not least Grinderman "Grinderman 2. Just a ridiculous amount of quality music.

With Future Islands its all about the voice of Samuel T. Herring who can convey such raw emotion without really saying to much. To me he has a similar affect as Matt Berninger( The National) there voices are what draw me in.
In the fall is from the EP of the same name and this live recording from KXLU 88.9 FM Los Angeles.
