El Guincho - "Hindou"

El Guincho is spanish musician Pablo Díaz-Reixa. this is from his new ep "Piratas de Sudamérica". I can't speak spanish but this is the perfect soundtrack for a lazy summer afternoon.

Garcia plays KYUSS with Nick Oliveri and Brant Bjork - Green Machine

Really raw recording but three of the original kyuss members together is always a good thing.

Just Off Elmwood Radio

Just off elmwood radio is up and running, well kinda radio six tracks at the moment hopefully i will change weekly and put a little more thought into it. It will be a short playlist of tracks that are moving me that week. This week it is more rock Oriented maybe it will be more eclectic in the future but some weeks are just rock weeks. Look for the ninja.

Wolf Parade - Ghost Pressure (mp3)

New Wolf Parade album "Expo86" tomorrow i'm excited!

Aloe Blacc & The Grand Scheme - Billie Jean

Aloe Blacc has come up with here a very cool and soulful cover of Michael Jackson's Billie Jean.

Lüger - Swastika sweetheart

Madrid Spain's Lüger have quite possibly the most refreshing sound i have heard in a while. Psychedelic in a similar vein to Wooden Shjips only better and thats not a knock on Wooden Shjips.

Kiwi reggae dub funksters The Black Seeds live at Homegrown 2009. At one time Bret McKenzie of flight of the concords fame was a member.

Kano - "Get Wild" ft Aidonia x Wiley

The beat in this track from Kano is just ridiculous, monster dance cut.

THE GORDONS - 'Future Shock'

Its hard to believe a group such as the gordons existed in New Zealand in 1981 a propulsive form of noise and punk. This incarnation of the gordons would go on to form the immortal Bailterspace.

THEOPHILUS LONDON - "I WANT YOU"

I have become a big fan of THEOPHILUS LONDON lately while this track doesn't quite do it for me like Humdrum Town it is still a fantastic blend of classic soul and hip hop.

ceo - come with me

This is the first single from Eric Berglund of The Tough Alliance.

My Sad Captains - "You Talk All Night"

England's My Sad Captains with some truly captivating indie rock. Kinda reminds me of The National if they were more indie.

Junip - Rope And Summit

José González returns this time with his band Junip.
you can download there new EP free Here

Lower Dens - Hospice Gates

What is it with Baltimore bands this year this is the second one that has wowed me the other being "Future Islands". Lower Dens feature the vocal talents of Jana Hunter who is an acclaimed singer songwriter but its the music that gets me, hazy trippy indie rock at its finest.

HEALTH - USA Boys

Moving from a more noise rock vain to a more electronic vibe means great things, infectious.

Superchunk - Cast Iron / The First Part

Superchunk are about to release there first album in 9 years but for me there greatest legacy will always be there creation of Merge records. With artists such as Arcade Fire, Spoon, Caribou and many more. This is two live tracks from Merge XX last year.
